Reduced hours. Denied accommodations. Job loss. These are real risks workers face right when their health and family stability are most at risk, and many don't even know they have legal protections. Trusted guidance is hard to find.
These workers are often left with intimidating legal questions:
Can my employer legally cut my hours or fire me because I'm pregnant?
What is DC Paid Family Leave, and how do I apply for it?
What workplace accommodations am I entitled to as a pregnant worker?
That's why we're proud to spotlight our content partner First Shift Justice Project.
First Shift Justice Project is a nonprofit that empowers pregnant and caregiving workers in DC, Maryland, and Virginia to exercise their workplace rights. Its approach is preventive, centered in client service and accessibility.
